We purchased a coffee machine shortly before Terri's mom arrived for a visit. I tried to find one that did not utilize a burner for heating the coffee pot. They cause a lot of evaporation, creating the burnt coffee flavor that occurs after a while. The other person in my office who drink coffee brought in his Mr. Coffee machine for us to use. I discovered a different model which includes a stainless steel thermal carafe in place of a glass pot and burner. It has worked well so far.
The picture also shows our new coffee grinder. I quickly grew tired of dragging our other grinder between home and the office. I had read an article describing an inexpensive model incorporating a burr grinder, which is superior to the blade method our other grinder. It just happened to be manufactured by Mr. Coffee as well, so they match pretty well.
